Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Construction Project Inspector to join our team at CDM Smith. As a Construction Project Inspector, you will be responsible for performing construction inspections of basic to moderate complexity, evaluating the condition of structures, and documenting deterioration and structural condition.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate the condition of structures and document deterioration and structural condition.
  • Document deficiencies between design and execution of construction.
  • Provide reports to project leadership upon discovery of deficiencies or issues with construction work.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or Vocational Technical degree or equivalent.
  • 4 years of related experience.
  • Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Good ability to communicate both verbally and in writing in English.
  • Intermediate knowledge of arithmetic.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly learn new computer, smartphone or related applications and programs.
  • Intermediate knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment used in construction.
  • Ability to read, understand, interpret and explain construction plans and drawings, contract provisions, and specifications.
