Key Responsibilities:

POSITION OVERVIEW
The Executive Vice President of Operations will collaborate closely with the Chief Executive Officer and will be an integral member of the senior leadership team. This role is essential in ensuring the financial and operational integrity of the JCC Association.

Core Responsibilities:

Financial Management
  • Collaborate with the Finance Director to develop the annual budget, conduct periodic budget reviews, and create forecasts, including profit and loss statements and cash flow analyses.
  • Assess the financial implications of significant capital expenditures and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Foster relationships with financial institutions and serve as the primary signatory for financial transactions.
Insurance Oversight
  • Oversee all facets of Property, Liability, and Workers' Compensation Insurance.
Human Resources Leadership
  • Work alongside the Chief of Staff to design and manage employee benefits programs, including health and retirement plans.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Program Officer and Chief of Staff to negotiate and communicate updates to the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
  • Evaluate staffing plans and requisitions, providing insights on their financial implications.
  • Ensure the effective implementation and operation of payroll and benefits systems, including the approval of bi-weekly payroll.
Board Engagement and Committee Support
  • Prepare monthly financial updates and reports for the Board of Directors and Finance Committee.
  • Act as the primary liaison for the Finance and Audit Committees, facilitating meeting logistics and member recruitment.
  • Establish a strong collaborative relationship with the Board Treasurer.
Personnel Oversight
  • Supervise the Finance Director, providing guidance and constructive feedback.
  • Oversee the Director of Facilities to ensure effective management of security and maintenance operations.
  • Coordinate with other department heads to ensure seamless program delivery.
General Leadership
  • Act as a strategic partner to the CEO in decision-making processes.
  • Assist in planning for future expansions and initiatives.
  • Exemplify leadership qualities and serve as a role model within the organization.
  • Represent the JCC Association at community functions and meetings.
  • Ensure efficient internal operations and oversee vendor contract negotiations.
  • Collaborate with program staff and stakeholders to align strategic objectives with financial planning.
  • Be prepared to assist in finance-related tasks as needed.
  • Develop and implement long-term strategies to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Review and enhance operational systems and processes, recommending improvements as necessary.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with staff, Board members, program participants, and donors.
  • Demonstrate the ability to thrive in a dynamic team environment, managing multiple projects effectively.
  • Exhibit proactive leadership and consensus-building skills.
  • Maintain a goal-oriented approach with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Deliver high-quality customer service.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the CEO.
COMPENSATION:

$140,000-160,000

Minimum Qualifications:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • A minimum of 7 years of senior-level experience in financial and operational management with supervisory duties.
  • Experience in building, construction, or property management.
  • Background in nonprofit or educational settings.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in computer applications such as Word, Excel, Google Suite, and QuickBooks.
  • Dedication to the mission of the JCC Association.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and lead small teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven track record in customer service and community engagement.
  • Willingness to participate in evening and weekend events as necessary.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
