Position Overview:

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for overseeing supplier performance and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations within the aerospace sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees the performance of suppliers, including processors and fabrication shops, to guarantee adherence to schedules and product specifications.
  • Establishes and prioritizes delivery timelines for products and services, addressing any issues related to supplier performance to ensure compliance with contracts.
  • Facilitates communication among various stakeholders, including procurement teams, suppliers, and internal departments, to relay status updates and concerns.
  • Collaborates with suppliers to develop recovery plans and addresses unplanned demand, while identifying training needs to enhance supplier performance.
  • Engages in on-site evaluations of suppliers to assess their capacity and capability to meet current and future procurement needs.
  • Monitors supplier performance against established plans to ensure compliance with contractual requirements and reports findings to management.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvements and communicates recommendations to enhance procurement efficiency.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Procurement or Supply Chain Management.
  • Experience in the Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing industries.
  • Knowledge of interior aircraft systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) for at least 5 years.
  • Experience collaborating with both internal and external suppliers for over 5 years.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in aircraft maintenance or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience in team leadership, both formal and informal.
  • Possession of an Associate's degree or higher.
