**This position is a 6-month W2 contract with benefits**

As the Procurement Specialist, you will be responsible for executing procurement strategies, adhering to industry standards, and implementing operational plans. This includes managing requests for proposals (RFPs), preparing for negotiations, and conducting cost assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate purchase orders, authorize payments, and negotiate pricing to facilitate a seamless procurement process under general supervision.
  • Develop requests for proposals (RFP) and bid documentation to pursue new business opportunities.
  • Oversee contract execution to guarantee adherence to contractual commitments.
  • Engage with suppliers to arrange or expedite deliveries, ensuring timely resolution of issues such as shortages and delays.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED required along with a minimum of 3-4 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Procurement, or Purchasing.
  • Experience with SAP or similar procurement software is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Excel: including pivot tables, search functions, VLOOKUP, sorting, and filtering.
  • Demonstrated experience in Purchasing and Procurement roles is essential.
