These funding avenues are instrumental in achieving our mission of ensuring our members graduate on time with a clear future plan, maintain a healthy lifestyle, and contribute positively to their communities.


Role of the Grants Coordinator II:
The Grants Coordinator II will assist in managing our expanding portfolio of grants, which includes the planning, execution, compliance, and reporting of grants within the portfolio.

Grant Writing Responsibilities:
1. Identify and research private, foundation, and corporate grant opportunities for the organization.
2. Develop and submit proposals for assigned opportunities before deadlines.
3. Pursue funding renewals for existing grants according to established timelines.
4. Collaborate with the CFO to create and prepare budgets supporting grant applications.
5. Work with the RD team, VP of Operations/COO, and club leadership to prepare program briefs for grant applications.
6. Gather necessary data and information from Clubs to craft grant proposals.
7. Collaborate with other Grant Coordinators II on federal, state, and local grants.

Grant Management Duties:
1. Formulate a plan to support grant programs organization-wide, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and procedures.
2. Submit reimbursement requests and reports as mandated by funding sources.
3. Prepare and oversee the grant calendar.
4. Ensure grant awards and invoices are accurately entered into NetSuite.
5. Monitor the receipt of grant payments in NetSuite to ensure timely payments.
6. Assist the CPA firm with annual financial and single audit requests related to grants.

Grant Compliance Activities:
1. Participate in compliance visits for grant programs as assigned.
2. Assist in preparing findings from compliance visits for presentation to Senior Management.
3. Follow up on compliance issues at the Club level as directed.

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in education, Youth Development, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.
Experience: Professional experience in a nonprofit youth-serving organization, with skills and knowledge in key roles related to grants management and proposal development is preferred. Proficiency in technical and grant writing is essential. Must be adept at using computers and office equipment, and willing to work overtime to meet reporting deadlines.
Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with the public.

Working Conditions:
Community-based environments serving youth, families, and community members on a daily basis. Regular interaction with Club staff, members, and external organizations is expected to plan and coordinate activities. Travel for special events and field trips may be necessary. Availability to work weekdays is required.
