Oracle is seeking innovative and motivated individuals who are passionate about technology and customer service. The available position is for a Technical Support Specialist focused on providing Tier 1 assistance. This role encompasses more than just basic troubleshooting; it requires a solid understanding of SQL queries to address technical issues, investigate network challenges, and guide users through various technical difficulties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary contact for customer inquiries via phone.
  • Verify customer support entitlements and collaborate with the Support Operations team as needed.
  • Manage a diverse range of product and system-related service requests.
  • Analyze and resolve customer issues or escalate to the appropriate team when necessary.
  • Take ownership of service requests and ensure they are monitored until resolution.
  • Maintain effective communication with customers, keeping them updated throughout the incident resolution process.
  • Contribute to knowledge management by providing feedback on support articles.

Qualifications

  • Experience with OPERA Property Management System (PMS) or MICROS Point of Sale (POS) is preferred.
  • Some professional IT support experience is required.
  • A strong passion for problem-solving and technical exploration.
  • Relevant certifications such as Network+, CompTIA A+, or Cisco are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of SQL is a plus.
