Hospitality OPERA Cloud Technical Support Specialist

Location: On-site position

Opportunity with Oracle

This is a full-time role requiring various AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays. Shift assignments will be based on operational needs at the time of hiring, primarily between 7am and 11pm ET, Monday through Sunday.

Note: Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.

Position Overview

Oracle is seeking innovative individuals who are passionate about technology. The available position is for Technical Support Specialists who will primarily handle Tier 1 Technical Support. Responsibilities will extend beyond basic tasks such as password resets and laptop setups, requiring a solid understanding of SQL queries to troubleshoot issues, investigate network problems, and assist users in navigating software bugs, outages, and other technical challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Act as the initial point of contact for customers seeking Oracle Support.

Verify customer entitlements for support and collaborate with the Support Operations HOST team when entitlements are unclear.

Manage a wide range of product or system-related service requests.

Analyze, resolve, and troubleshoot customer issues or escalate to the appropriate resource or team as necessary.

Take ownership of service requests and ensure they are monitored through to resolution.

Maintain positive relationships with customers and keep them informed of progress during the incident resolution process.

Provide feedback and suggestions for knowledge management articles.

Qualifications

Experience with OPERA Property Management System (PMS) or MICROS Point of Sale (POS) is preferred.

A minimum of some professional IT support experience is required.

A passion for problem-solving and technical exploration (such as building personal computers or setting up networks) is desirable.

Certifications such as Network+, CompTIA A+, Cisco, or related qualifications are advantageous.

Knowledge of SQL is a plus.

Additional Skills

Experience in the Hotel/Hospitality or Food & Beverage industry is beneficial.

Exceptional customer service skills and the ability to empathize with clients.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Superior verbal and written communication abilities.
