Your Role as a Technical Application Support Specialist

In this position, you will deliver technical support and assistance to our internal teams. Your daily responsibilities will include diagnosing application issues, evaluating software performance, and working closely with developers to improve system capabilities. You will also be involved in system upgrades and maintenance to guarantee optimal performance and reliability. Furthermore, you will document procedures, create user manuals, and conduct training sessions to empower our staff in utilizing our applications effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Installation, upgrades, maintenance, troubleshooting, and administration of server and web-based applications.
  • Develop and oversee comprehensive testing plans for application updates.
  • Engage with staff to identify technological needs and provide strategic solutions.
  • Utilize PL/SQL for interactions with Oracle Databases.
  • Employ PowerShell for Microsoft systems administration.
  • Create and maintain clear and relevant systems documentation.
  • Troubleshoot production system issues as necessary.

Qualifications for the Technical Application Support Specialist Role

To thrive in this role, you should have exceptional problem-solving skills and a meticulous attention to detail. Strong analytical abilities are essential for efficiently diagnosing and resolving technical challenges. Excellent communication skills are vital as you will collaborate with various stakeholders to gather requirements and provide support. A proactive mindset and the capability to perform well under pressure will be advantageous in this dynamic setting.

Candidates must demonstrate a history of outstanding customer service. A Bachelor's degree in a relevant computer technology field or equivalent education and experience is required. Preferred qualifications include applicable industry certifications, seven years of experience in a related field, and advanced knowledge of relevant systems, hardware, and software.
