Your Responsibilities

As a Senior Public Affairs Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in bridging communication between Navy operations and the public. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing communication strategies that elevate the Navy's public image and highlight shipyard activities.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive understanding of naval shipyard operations to effectively communicate complex information.
  • Acting as the primary liaison for media inquiries and fostering relationships with key media representatives.
  • Creating strategic communication plans for significant events and outreach initiatives.
  • Implementing crisis communication strategies and serving as a spokesperson during critical situations.
  • Monitoring media coverage and public sentiment to assess the impact of communication efforts.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to produce effective communication materials.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related discipline (an advanced degree is preferred).
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in public affairs or communications, with a strong preference for candidates with naval shipyard or defense-related experience.
  • Proficiency in media relations and public affairs principles.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
