Job Overview

DCG Communications is in search of a detail-oriented and proactive Communications Content Specialist to enhance our dynamic team. Our mission revolves around empowering Veterans to access healthcare through innovative digital solutions. The Communications Content Specialist will concentrate on crafting both technical and creative content for various training initiatives, technical documentation, project reports, social media engagement, and blog articles.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Development of Training Materials:
    • Create detailed training plans and materials for app-based platforms.
    • Oversee the design and creation of app-related content.
    • Ensure that training resources align with overarching goals and objectives.
  • Collaboration with Stakeholders:
    • Proactively communicate with client stakeholders to facilitate swift resolution of app-related challenges.
    • Work closely with team leads to fully understand the materials, processes, and styles necessary for deliverables.
    • Engage in regular team and client meetings to discuss project needs and expectations.
    • Contribute innovative ideas for captivating and relevant content.
  • Content Production:
    • Generate written communication products, including project reports, updates, social media posts, and blog entries.
    • Deliver polished written materials independently, ensuring they are substantially complete prior to review.
    • Incorporate feedback from team members and clients to refine and finalize content.
  • Status Reporting:
    • Provide regular updates on the progress of training materials and other deliverables.
    • Maintain open and consistent communication with team members and clients to ensure alignment.

Qualifications:

  • Experience and Skills:
    • A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in producing high-quality content across diverse platforms, with a preference for federal government consulting or public relations experience.
    • Exceptional writing abilities, capable of crafting clear, concise, and engaging content.
    • Demonstrated experience in developing training materials, especially for app-based or virtual technologies.
    • Strong organizational and project management capabilities.
    • Ability to work autonomously and produce high-quality materials with minimal oversight.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Education:
    • A Bachelor's degree in Communications or a related discipline is required.
