DCG Communications is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Social Media Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our communications team, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive social media strategy to drive engagement and increase website traffic.
Key Responsibilities:
- Content Creation: Develop, write, and edit compelling and accurate content for various social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
- Platform Management: Oversee daily operations of social media accounts, including scheduling posts, responding to inquiries, and monitoring engagement.
- Community Building: Cultivate new communities, manage branded online communications, and plan and execute live events using social media platforms.
- Analytics and Reporting: Provide a monthly analysis of traditional media and social media in a single report, and monitor breaking news on all major news organization websites and social media platforms daily, providing alerts to the leadership team.
- Media Analysis: Provide social media analysis, including tone, engagement, and demographic/geographic reach.
- Paid Media Strategies: Play a key role in executing paid media strategies and programs.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in communication or other related fields.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of relevant professional experience supporting communications and social media campaigns, preferably at a public relations firm/agency.
- Skills:
- Content Creation: Proven ability to create and execute social media content on behalf of a client with an in-depth understanding of the client's tone, engagement, and demographic/geographic reach.
- Strategy Development: Adept in developing social media strategies and analysis.
- Community Engagement: Proven ability to adapt outreach to build engagement with targeted audiences through various mediums and social media channels.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with content management systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Reporting and Analysis: Experience identifying, collecting, and publishing reports on-demand/ad hoc, daily, weekly, and monthly based on open-source traditional and social media reporting for primary and secondary audiences to include senior leadership.
- Software Proficiency: Experience using software service capabilities in support of traditional media and social media data collection, analysis, assessment, and evaluation.
