Compensation:

We provide a competitive salary and benefits package that aligns with our organizational values and mission. The salary range for this role is $53,705.00 to $63,107.00, commensurate with experience.

Thea Bowman House, Inc. is seeking a committed and skilled Facilities Maintenance Manager to join our Property Management Team.

The primary duty of this position is to uphold the cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, ensuring a dignified and comfortable environment for the residents we serve. This role encompasses hands-on cleaning, performing minor maintenance tasks, and offering leadership and training to janitorial staff.


Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm (40 hours per week)

Required Qualifications:
Some High School Education or GED, with a minimum of 1 year of janitorial experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
High School diploma/GED; experience serving low-income populations, families, and seniors is preferred. CPR/First Aid, AED certification is also preferred.

Required License/Certification:
Must possess and maintain a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license, along with personal car liability insurance coverage. This is a condition of employment. The vehicle should be safe and dependable (mileage will be reimbursed).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others
- Capacity to establish professional boundaries
- Basic computer proficiency
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to read, write, and engage with diverse audiences
- Advanced understanding of OSHA compliance standards
- Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks amid competing priorities
- Knowledge of cleaning and maintenance practices
- Proficient in training and engaging staff effectively

Expected Contributions:
Maintenance & Grounds:
- Adhere to maintenance checklists to ensure facilities are safe and presentable
- Conduct regular cleaning of all common areas, including bathrooms, lounges, and kitchens
- Maintain the building's exterior through routine cleaning and grounds upkeep
- Coordinate daily trash collection, empty trash containers, and manage bulk or regular pickups
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning, maintenance, and building supplies
- Provide training on cleaning techniques as needed
- Oversee snow and ice removal from walkways
