Position Overview - Facilities Maintenance Manager
Role Summary
The Facilities Maintenance Manager is a proactive leader responsible for overseeing all off-site clinic operations, excluding the facilities at the designated research and innovation campus. This role involves coordinating all off-site facility maintenance activities, managing projects, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule routine preventative maintenance to ensure timely completion.
- Collaborate with the foundation office to manage VIP tours effectively.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements across extended campus locations.
- Conduct regular visits to clinics to foster strong relationships with clinic managers and ensure quality assurance.
- Perform site inspections and submit work orders as necessary.
- Maintain and update all records related to responsibilities for the organization and building owner in accordance with lease agreements.
- Respond to off-site emergencies and coordinate appropriate responses.
- Develop and present annual maintenance budgets for off-site locations to clinic managers.
Maintenance Management
This position entails managing maintenance services and repairs, including planning, assigning, and supervising work in various areas such as plumbing, mechanical systems, general building upkeep, carpentry, painting, and critical space testing. Responsibilities include:
- Estimating time and materials needed for maintenance tasks.
- Supervising the procurement of materials, supplies, and inventory management.
- Preparing plans and sketches, and interpreting architectural and engineering specifications.
- Conducting quality control inspections of completed maintenance tasks to ensure compliance with work requests.
Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or GED is required, with a preference for trade school experience and extensive knowledge of building codes.
Experience
A minimum of 10 years of experience in facility maintenance, carpentry, or related fields is required.
Skills and Knowledge
Proficiency in project management, construction oversight, carpentry, mechanical systems, plumbing, critical space testing, and supervision of building maintenance.
Organizational Accountabilities
The Facilities Maintenance Manager will be responsible for delivering clear communication of team goals aligned with departmental objectives, developing budgets, providing necessary resources for effective performance, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
This role is essential in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment, promoting productivity, and supporting staff development.
