Position Overview:

The Senior Operations Manager in Manufacturing is a pivotal role that focuses on ensuring industrial readiness across the Value Stream for Military Engine development initiatives. This position offers a unique chance to collaborate closely with the research and development teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive assurance of delivery, manage supply chain sourcing, and mitigate operational risks.
  • Oversee engineering changes to maintain program timelines, including new product introductions.
  • Coordinate and maintain the program's industrial plan in collaboration with various stakeholders.
  • Monitor and enhance part improvements through Key Process Indicators and delivery metrics.
  • Support testing operations and foster strong relationships with vendors and partners.
  • Engage with design and manufacturing engineering to address challenges and reduce risks.
  • Willingness to travel regionally and domestically as required.

Qualifications:

Applicants must possess a Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations management, or a related field; or a Master's Degree with at least 7 years of relevant experience. Candidates should demonstrate:

  • Experience in managing conflicting priorities in dynamic environments.
  • Understanding of strategic business implications and ability to provide optimal solutions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with SAP/MRP systems.
  • Eligibility and willingness to obtain a security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for security clearance eligibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

A Master's degree in Industrial, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering is preferred.
