Role Summary

The Connecticut Rotating Parts (CTRP) engineering team is seeking a dedicated Process and Manufacturing Engineer for our second shift operations. This role will report directly to the CTRP Engineering Manager and will be responsible for overseeing a specific segment of hardware processing on the shop floor. The ideal candidate will act as a technical authority, providing guidance in machining, inspection, and thermal spray processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as a technical authority for the CTRP Shaft cell.
  • Deliver daily technical support to the shop floor for machining, inspection, and thermal spray issues that arise during the repair cycle.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standardized engineering practices and methodologies across the products under your supervision.
  • Manage projects and engage in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing and quality enhancement efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Cell Leader to ensure timely delivery and profitability in the Shaft Cell operations.
  • Identify and introduce new capital equipment to enhance operational metrics.
Qualifications
  • Advanced degree with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Military, Manufacturing, Logistics, Aerospace, or Aviation sectors; or a Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship is a requirement for this position due to the nature of the work.
Preferred Skills
  • Degree in a STEM discipline, preferably in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
  • Experience in component repair utilizing complex machining in an FAA Repair Station MRO environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and repair process life cycles.
  • Strong technical knowledge of turbine engines and/or Pratt & Whitney products.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, engine manuals, and blueprints.
  • Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, Solumina MES, SAP ERP, and MS Office Suite.
  • Project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience with LEAN, Continuous Improvement, CORE, ACE, and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Effective communication skills at all organizational levels, including senior management.
  • Proven track record of motivating teams to achieve business objectives.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between 77,000 USD and 163,000 USD, based on experience and qualifications. Hired candidates may be eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and retirement plans. Specific benefits may vary based on the business unit and collective bargaining agreements.
