Role Overview:

The Bioanalytical Chemistry team at Integrated Resources, Inc (IRI) is in search of a seasoned scientist with expertise in bioanalytical methodologies, particularly in the realm of LC-MS. This role is pivotal in enhancing our bioanalytical and biomarker strategies, contributing to the advancement of our therapeutic platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize advanced LC-MS analytical techniques for the assessment of various molecular entities, including small molecules, oligonucleotides, peptides, and proteins.
  • Innovate and implement high-resolution mass spectrometry-based metabolite profiling and identification methodologies.
  • Occasionally conduct biomarker analysis utilizing LC-MS for small molecules.
  • Analyze and interpret complex LC-MS data sets, effectively communicating findings to project teams.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of all experimental procedures, including quality control data and results, in electronic laboratory notebooks.
  • Enhance team knowledge through continuous literature review and collaborative discussions.
  • Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of laboratory instruments, including biological sample extraction systems and chromatography equipment.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • A PhD or master's degree in pharmaceutical sciences, analytical chemistry, biochemistry, or related fields, accompanied by relevant industry or academic experience.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of pertinent experience with a PhD or 5+ years with a master's degree.
  • Proven laboratory proficiency in biological sample extraction, chromatography, and quantitative/qualitative mass spectrometry.
  • Experience in the bioanalysis of diverse molecular formats, including small molecules, peptides, oligonucleotides, and proteins.
  • Self-driven with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary research environment with stringent deadlines.

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with LC-MS-based ADME and bioanalytical assays.
  • Experience with mass spectrometry data acquisition software such as AnalystTM, XcaliburTM, or MassLynxTM.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools like GraphPad Prism, WinNonlin, or BioPharma Finder.
  • Understanding of industry standards for bioanalytical method validation.
