We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Data Scientist I to join our team at the Institute for Biomedical Informatics. As a key member of our Medicaid Analytics team, you will be responsible for independently or collaboratively performing statistical analysis and/or machine learning pipeline development using large and often disparate data sets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deploy common machine learning models
- Perform data visualization using open source languages/software and/or data visualization software
- Collaborate with senior Data Scientists to prepare grant proposals and support data science project endeavors
- Develop data visualizations and work alongside researchers
- Proficiency with R, SAS, SQL, and Tableau
- Master's degree in statistics or related field plus 3 or more years of related experience preferred
- Experience with substance use disorder research
