Job Summary:
We are a leading property management firm that specializes in overseeing residential, commercial, and mixed-use properties.

Position Overview:
We are in search of a proficient and seasoned Accounting Manager to take charge of our accounting operations. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing all facets of the accounting department within our property management firm, ensuring precision, efficiency, and adherence to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a robust accounting background, experience in the property management sector, and a demonstrated history of leadership and financial oversight.

This role will also encompass payroll duties, ensuring the maintenance of accurate employee payroll records, which include earnings, deductions, benefits, and tax information.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and scrutinize financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements for various properties.
  • Deliver regular financial reports and analyses to senior management, emphasizing key performance indicators and trends.
  • Guarantee compliance with accounting principles and regulatory mandates.
  • Process bi-weekly/monthly payroll for both salaried and hourly employees, ensuring timely payments.
  • Calculate wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions (such as taxes, insurance, and retirement contributions).
  • Collaborate with property managers to formulate annual budgets and financial forecasts for each property.
  • Maintain professional relationships with vendors, suppliers, and tenants, promptly addressing any billing or payment inquiries.
  • Facilitate annual audits and reviews by external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support.
  • Supervise and mentor accounting personnel, offering guidance, training, and performance feedback to foster professional development.
  • Encourage a collaborative and high-performance culture within the accounting team, promoting teamwork, communication, and accountability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
  • CPA and/or experience in public accounting is advantageous.
  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.

Skills: Proficiency in ADP, Yardi.
