Position Overview

About Us:
Brian Communications is a leading strategic communications firm, recognized for our innovative approaches in public relations, branding, and crisis management. We are seeking a skilled Account Supervisor with a strong background in healthcare communications and 5-8 years of relevant experience.

Work Arrangement:
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model, requiring in-office presence two days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily public relations activities and maintain client relationships under the guidance of senior management.
  • Demonstrate expertise in media relations, providing strategic advice to team members to enhance pitching efforts and achieve media coverage objectives.
  • Implement communication strategies approved by clients.
  • Manage and monitor project budgets effectively.
  • Develop and execute media relations strategies across national and local platforms, including print, broadcast, and digital media.
  • Utilize social media creatively to align with client goals and enhance engagement.
  • Plan and manage events for media and client initiatives.
  • Draft and refine various media materials, including press releases, advisories, background documents, and client presentations.
  • Engage in crisis management and issue resolution as needed.
  • Support the growth and development of junior team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive workplace culture.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proficient in developing and executing public relations strategies.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector.
  • History of leading teams and managing financial resources.
  • Demonstrated success in securing media coverage and pitching stories to diverse media outlets.
  • Exceptional writing and editing capabilities, with familiarity in AP style.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Expertise in account management and project oversight.
  • Experience in content creation and utilizing social media for audience engagement.
  • Contribute to business development efforts alongside agency leadership.
  • Adept at thriving in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, or a related discipline.
  • 5-8 years of experience in public relations within an agency or similar setting.
