Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to play a crucial role in our finance department. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of QuickBooks and a proven track record in managing various accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, Financial Reporting, Budget Development, and Month-End/Year-End Closing Procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable and Receivable Management:

  • Supervise the processing of accounts payable and receivable through QuickBooks.
  • Ensure precise recording and reconciliation of vendor and customer accounts.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and enhance payment terms.

Payroll Oversight:

  • Manage the payroll process using Avionte Software, ensuring timely and accurate payroll execution.
  • Stay informed on payroll regulations and compliance standards.
  • Work with HR to resolve payroll-related employee inquiries.

General Ledger Maintenance:

  • Oversee and reconcile the general ledger.
  • Analyze financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.

Check Issuance and Preparation:

  • Manage the issuance of checks, ensuring proper authorization and compliance with company policies.
  • Streamline check-cutting processes for efficiency.

Expense Management:

  • Supervise company expenses, including credit card transactions, reimbursements, and vendor payments.
  • Establish and enforce policies for expense approval and authorization.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations regarding expense management.

Budget Development:

  • Collaborate with department leaders to formulate the annual budget.
  • Analyze historical financial data and industry trends to set realistic budget targets.
  • Align the budget with the company's strategic objectives.

Month-End and Year-End Closing:

  • Lead the month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Prepare necessary journal entries and perform account reconciliations.

Financial Reporting:

  • Generate regular financial reports that provide insights into the company's performance, including budget versus actual analyses.
  • Communicate financial information to relevant stakeholders, including executives and department heads.

QuickBooks Proficiency:

  • Utilize QuickBooks for managing and organizing financial data.
  • Provide support and guidance to team members on QuickBooks functionalities.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience as an Accounting Manager or in a comparable role.
  • Thorough understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Strong expertise in QuickBooks with over 5 years of experience and familiarity with other accounting software.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to accuracy and integrity.
