PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure client files are maintained accurately within the Agency Management System, adhering to company workflows, procedures, and best practices.
  • Draft professional business communications through letters, emails, and other formats.
  • Perform accounting-related tasks, including invoicing and premium allocation, as necessary.
  • Oversee claims as per agency protocols, communicate claims updates within the agency, and assist clients with claims coordination.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with others, providing necessary information and guidance to achieve company objectives.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside the Advisor or Director of Risk Management, as requested.
  • Support colleagues in addressing client inquiries or processing tasks when required.
  • Manage daily activities of client accounts, including policy reviews, updates, contract evaluations for certificate processing, renewal documentation preparation, and insurance program negotiations.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Advise clients on coverage options and risks, recommending additional coverage as necessary.
  • Proactively seek referrals from existing clients to identify new business opportunities, following up to cultivate leads.
  • Develop strong relationships with insurance company partners, understanding their requirements and characteristics.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the firm and its processes, bringing relevant issues to the attention of leadership.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Exhibit effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication.
  • Possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to learn additional software as needed.
  • Demonstrate alignment with the firm's core values and corporate culture through professional behavior.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Obtain and maintain necessary state insurance licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance for risk management consulting.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager position.
OTHER:
  • Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
The starting salary is competitive and negotiable based on experience.
