PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Maintain client records in the Agency Management System with accuracy and consistency; ensure proper documentation and communication in line with company workflows, procedures, and best practices.

Draft professional business correspondence through various means. Capable of performing accounting functions such as invoicing and premium allocation.

Monitor claims as per agency protocols. Relay claims information to relevant parties within the agency and keep claims data updated in the system. Provide guidance and support to clients in coordination with claims.

Engage effectively with others by utilizing strong communication skills, collaborating purposefully, and offering information and assistance as needed to meet company objectives.

Participate in client meetings alongside the Advisor or Director of Risk Management when requested. Support colleagues in addressing client inquiries or processing tasks as necessary.

Manage daily activities of client accounts, including policy reviews, updates, contract reviews for certificate processing, preparing renewal documents, marketing and negotiating insurance programs, and reviewing leases and financial statements related to client insurance.

Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely service and follow-up for the insured.

Advise clients on coverage and exposure, recommending and placing additional coverage as required.

Actively pursue referrals from the existing client base to identify new business opportunities; follow up to generate new prospects using a database and automation system.

Build strong relationships with insurance company partners, ensuring knowledge of carrier requirements and attributes.

Seek opportunities to enhance the firm, business segment, and processes. Bring any issues or discrepancies to the attention of appropriate leadership.


KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Exhibit effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication.

Possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with the ability to learn other relevant insurance company and firm software programs.

Demonstrate the firm's core values, exhibiting behavior that aligns with the corporate culture.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

Obtain and maintain state insurance licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance to provide risk management consulting or risk transfer solutions in states where the firm operates (or be willing to obtain all necessary licenses within the first 90 days of employment). A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager role is preferred.
