PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Accurately maintain client records in the Agency Management System, ensuring proper documentation and communication in line with company workflows and best practices.
  • Draft professional business correspondence through various means.
  • Perform accounting functions, including invoicing and premium allocation, as necessary.
  • Monitor claims as per agency protocols, relay claims information to relevant parties, and assist clients in coordination with claims.
  • Utilize effective communication skills to interact with others, providing necessary information and guidance to meet company objectives.
  • Participate in client meetings alongside the Advisor or Director of Risk Management when required.
  • Support colleagues in addressing client inquiries or processing tasks as needed.
  • Oversee daily operations of client accounts, including policy reviews, updates, contract evaluations for certificate processing, preparing renewal documents, marketing and negotiating insurance programs, and reviewing financial statements related to clients' insurance.
  • Respond to client inquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely service delivery.
  • Advise clients on coverage options and exposures, recommending additional coverage as necessary.
  • Proactively seek referrals from existing clients to generate new business opportunities.
  • Build strong relationships with insurance partners, staying informed about carrier requirements and attributes.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement within the firm and processes, bringing any issues to the attention of leadership.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
  • Exhibit effective presentation skills through both verbal and written communication.
  • Possess intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn other relevant software programs.
  • Demonstrate alignment with the firm's core values and corporate culture.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
  • Obtain and maintain necessary state insurance licenses as required by the State Department of Insurance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Commercial Account Manager role.
OTHER:
  • Work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
