Job Overview

As a pivotal member of our team, the Director of Media Strategy will oversee the daily operational management of client requirements and lead the Strategy team's activities. This role reports directly to either the Director of Strategy or the Vice President of Strategy.

This position operates in a hybrid model, necessitating three days of in-office presence each week. Specific details regarding accommodations will be discussed during the interview process.

Your Contributions:
  • Act as a key client liaison, managing media strategy execution.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of media channels and their integration into strategic plans.
  • Enhance your proficiency with various media research tools.
  • Support the VP of Strategy and senior leadership in planning initiatives.
  • Lead a team of direct reports while also managing a broader group of indirect reports, focusing on:
    • Onboarding processes
    • Performance evaluations
    • Training development and resources
    • Workload management and delegation
    • Coaching team members to meet client and agency objectives
  • Manage multiple client accounts, transitioning seamlessly between them while undertaking the following tasks:
    • Ensure accountability for team deliverables and outcomes.
    • Provide initial assessments on media strategies, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with other teams.
    • Offer insights to clients to shape their marketing strategies.
    • Develop strong daily relationships with clients regarding assigned brands.
    • Oversee the comprehensive media strategy, approach, and planning for each account.
    • Manage the media channel mix along with initial budget allocations and justifications.
    • Represent the interests of various capability teams in client and agency meetings.
    • Collaborate with internal leaders to ensure strategic alignment of deliverables with client expectations.
    • Advocate for continuous improvement in personal, team, and client deliverables.
    • Drive organic growth initiatives for your accounts and assist with new business development as needed.
    Qualifications:
    • 7-8 years of experience in media planning.
    • 3+ years of management experience.
    • 2+ years of experience in cross-channel media planning.
    • Familiarity with standard media research and planning tools.
    • 1+ years of experience in pharmaceutical media across various conditions and audiences.

Compensation Range: $114,000-$148,000. This range reflects the company's anticipated pay for this position at the time of posting. Compensation will be determined based on applicant qualifications and position requirements, with the right to modify this range at any time.
