Position Summary: The Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives will oversee the daily operational management of client requirements and guide the Strategy team in their everyday tasks. This role reports directly to the Senior Vice President or Executive Vice President of Strategy within the Healthcare Professional (HCP) division.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a leading expert in HCP Media Strategy for one or more key clients.
- Direct the HCP media strategy with a comprehensive understanding of media channels and their roles within strategic plans.
- Enhance expertise in various media research tools to inform strategy development.
- Manage a team of direct reports and a broader team of indirect reports, focusing on:
- Onboarding and training processes.
- Performance management and development.
- Delegating team responsibilities effectively.
- Coaching team members to meet client and agency expectations.
- Oversee multiple accounts, transitioning between them to execute essential tasks, including:
- Accountability for team deliverables and outcomes.
- Providing initial feedback on media strategies, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with other teams.
- Advising clients to shape their marketing priorities.
- Building daily relationships with clients on assigned brands.
- Managing the overall media strategy, approach, and planning for each account.
- Overseeing the media channel mix and initial budget allocation with rationale.
- Representing the interests of various capability teams in client and agency meetings.
- Collaborating with internal leaders to ensure strategic alignment of deliverables with client needs.
- Driving continuous improvement for self, team, and client outcomes.
- Responsible for organic growth initiatives on assigned accounts and may assist in new business development efforts.
Qualifications:
- 7-8 years of experience in media planning.
- 3+ years of management experience.
- 2+ years of experience in cross-channel media planning.
- Familiarity with standard media research and planning tools (e.g., Clear Decisions).
- 1+ years of experience in pharmaceutical media across various conditions, disease states, and audiences (DTC, HCP, Payer).
