Position Overview: As the Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships, you will be instrumental in steering the company's growth. Reporting directly to the CEO, your primary focus will be on developing and nurturing strategic alliances while driving revenue through focused sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive industry analysis to formulate and execute a robust sales strategy aimed at enhancing revenue and expanding market reach.
- Lead the Business Development team in identifying and securing new business prospects, particularly in negotiations with OEMs and defense contractors.
- Act as the main liaison for the Department of Defense (DoD) and OEM partners, cultivating strong relationships to align with their strategic goals.
- Establish and maintain strategic connections with key DoD personnel, utilizing insights to customize solutions that address government requirements.
- Oversee initiatives to obtain defense contracts, ensuring alignment with DoD acquisition strategies and priorities.
- Provide expert advice on regulatory and compliance issues related to defense contracting, minimizing risks and ensuring adherence to standards.
- Promote the company's products and services to potential clients, establishing our reputation as a trusted partner.
- Perform thorough market assessments to identify emerging trends, competitive challenges, and new growth opportunities.
- Engage in collaborative business discussions to keep stakeholders informed.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to evaluate partnership opportunities and negotiate favorable agreements.
- Lead major proposal efforts, coordinating with senior management.
- Continuously evaluate team performance and implement strategies to enhance productivity and effectiveness.
Required Qualifications:
- A professional degree with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in business development within the Aerospace & Defense sector.
- In-depth knowledge of business and sales growth methodologies.
- A proven history of success in business development roles within the aviation sector, specifically with DoD, OEMs, and defense contractors.
- A comprehensive understanding of the aerospace landscape, including OEMs, suppliers, and regulatory frameworks.
- At least 5 years of direct experience with DoD contracts.
- Exceptional project management capabilities.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish rapport and credibility with both external partners and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, successfully guiding and developing high-performing teams.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to influence key decision-makers at all organizational levels.
- Willingness to travel as necessary to meet with partners and attend industry events.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in managing sales or marketing teams.
- Familiarity with DoD program office activities.
- A degree in Business, Marketing, or Finance.
