Role Overview
The Senior Vice President of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for the daily operational management of client requirements and will guide the Strategy team in their everyday tasks. You will report directly to either the Senior Vice President or Executive Vice President of Strategy within the Healthcare Professional (HCP) division.
This position operates in a hybrid model, necessitating three days of in-office presence each week. If selected for an interview, your recruiter will provide further details, including any necessary accommodations.
Your Contributions:
- Serve as a key expert in HCP Media Strategy for one or multiple high-priority clients.
- Lead the media strategy for HCP initiatives.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of the function of media channels within a strategic plan.
- Enhance your proficiency in various media research tools.
- Oversee a team of direct reports and a broader team of indirect reports, focusing on:
- Onboarding processes
- Performance evaluations
- Training methodologies and resources
- Workload management and delegation
- Coaching the team to meet client and agency expectations
- Manage multiple accounts, transitioning between them while performing the following tasks:
- Accountability for the team's deliverables and outcomes
- Providing initial feedback on media strategies, timelines, and deliverables in collaboration with other teams
- Offering insights to clients to help shape their marketing priorities
- Establishing daily relationships with relevant clients regarding assigned brands
- Overseeing the overall media strategy, approach, and planning for each account
- Managing the media channel mix and initial budget allocation with rationale
- Representing the interests of other capability teams in client and agency partner meetings
- Collaborating with internal leaders to ensure strategic alignment of deliverables with client needs
- Advocating for continuous improvement of self, team, and client deliverables
- Driving organic growth initiatives for your accounts and potentially assisting in new business efforts
- 7-8 years of experience in media planning
- 3+ years of management experience
- 2+ years of cross-channel media planning experience
- Familiarity with standard media research and planning tools (e.g., Clear Decisions)
- 1+ years of prior experience in pharmaceutical media across a diverse range of conditions, disease states, and audiences (DTC, HCP, Payer)
