Base Salary Range Tier III

$67,000 - $81,350.00 annually

Position Overview:


Heritage Bank is excited to present an opportunity to join our organization as a Branch Operations Supervisor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational efficiency and integrity of the assigned branch, working closely with the Branch Relationship Manager to lead a team towards achieving service excellence, sales targets, profitability, and operational effectiveness in alignment with Heritage Bank's Mission, Vision, and Values.

Key Responsibilities:


The Branch Operations Supervisor will:

  • Guarantee that customer service within the branch adheres to Heritage Bank's Service Standards, with staff proactively referring and promoting bank products and services tailored to customer needs.
  • Organize and oversee operational workflows to mitigate risks and ensure efficient and effective procedures, practices, staffing, and scheduling.
  • Maintain an extensive understanding of products and services, operational policies, and compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of audits, certifications, compliance checks, and reporting, addressing any audit, security, or compliance issues promptly.
  • Act as a liaison between the branch and support departments.
  • Lead and train staff to ensure adherence to all regulatory compliance standards and internal operational controls.
  • Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly to uphold optimal branch performance in service quality and efficiency.
  • Make and approve exceptions to policies and procedures within designated limits.
  • Deliver exceptional service and contribute positively to the branch's sales goals by recommending and referring bank products based on customer needs.
  • Mentor and train branch staff on service standards to foster the growth of new and existing customer relationships.
  • Collaborate with Management and Human Resources to recommend staffing levels and approve personnel actions such as hiring, terminations, promotions, and performance reviews.
  • Assist management in developing quarterly business plans, including sales goals and strategies for maximum profitability.
  • Manage the income and expense budget for the assigned branch and assist with the annual budgeting process.
  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives for new products and services.
  • Represent the Bank in the community through involvement in professional organizations and civic activities.
  • Monitor supplies, equipment, and security levels to ensure the branch operates efficiently.
  • Oversee the physical condition of the branch and report necessary improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulations.
Qualifications:


The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A High School diploma or equivalent; an Associate's degree or higher is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of recent experience in retail banking operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role, demonstrating success in leading and motivating a team.
  • Proven ability to deliver professional and responsive customer service with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively engage with customers and staff.
  • Strong leadership and managerial capabilities to motivate and develop a team.
  • In-depth knowledge of retail banking functions, compliance requirements, and operational procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and effective time management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications and familiarity with financial services industry systems.
Working Environment:


This role is primarily office-based in a climate-controlled environment. It may involve prolonged periods of computer use and requires the ability to concentrate amidst potential distractions.

Physical Demands:


Ability to operate standard office equipment and perform tasks that may require standing or sitting for extended periods. Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. may be necessary.
