JOB SUMMARY:

Under the guidance of Warehouse Management, you will oversee and engage in the processes of shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing supplies and inventory. You will maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing inventory and prepare relevant reports. As a lead, you will direct one or more warehouse functions, providing training and guidance to assigned personnel. You will also be responsible for upholding company policies and work rules, including recommending disciplinary actions when necessary.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:

1. **Team Leadership and Performance Management**
  1. Drive warehouse objectives in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Coordinate warehouse operations with procurement, maintenance, and quality assurance departments to achieve optimal results.
  3. Support warehouse staff by maintaining a visible presence on the operational floor.
  4. Foster an engaged and collaborative workforce.
  5. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality programs.
2. **Policy and Procedure Support**
  1. Create an environment that values consistency and care for all team members.
  2. Encourage teamwork and commitment to high-quality work among all staff.
  3. Provide training on company policies, regulations, and specific job responsibilities.
  4. Monitor adherence to quality standards and maintain high levels of cleanliness and product integrity.
  5. Follow daily operational schedules and report any discrepancies.
  6. Promote efficient use of resources to minimize waste.
3. **Compliance and Safety Oversight**
  1. Ensure the warehouse and work areas are maintained for a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety policies.
  2. Report any incidents or safety concerns immediately.
  3. Participate in identifying root causes of incidents.
  4. Stay informed on all company safety policies and regulatory standards.
  5. Notify maintenance of any equipment issues.
4. **Operational Leadership**
  1. Oversee and engage in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distribution of supplies and products.
  2. Manage the receiving, unloading, and inspection of shipments for quality and compliance with purchase orders.
  3. Plan storage locations to maximize space utilization.
  4. Deliver supplies and equipment as required.
  5. Participate in annual inventory counts.
  6. Operate various warehouse equipment and utilize software for data entry and report generation.
  7. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
  8. Recommend improvements for storage and inventory management processes.
5. **E21 Procedure Compliance**
  1. Ensure all procedures are followed according to standard operating protocols.
  2. Manage work order barcodes and inventory tracking.
  3. Facilitate the movement of products to appropriate storage areas.
  4. Confirm inventory against shipment requirements.
  5. Reconcile staging areas daily to ensure accuracy.
6. **IT Liaison**
  1. Report any procedural deviations to IT support.
  2. Become the subject matter expert for E21 procedures within your department.
  3. Troubleshoot operational issues before escalating to IT support.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Certifications in SQF, GMP, and HACCP.
  • Proficient in operating warehouse equipment and performing all related functions.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Three or more years of experience in warehouse operations.
  • Understanding of inventory management processes.
  • Experience with WMS and barcode scanning systems.
  • Ability to motivate and lead a diverse team effectively.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Dependable and adaptable with the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Professional demeanor and appearance.
  • Knowledge of product protection and packing standards.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

ACTIVITIES:

Standing, walking, bending, lifting, and other physical activities are required intermittently.

HEARING:

Must be able to hear and understand normal conversations.

REPETITIVE MOTION:

Frequent use of hands and wrists is necessary.

VISUAL ABILITIES:

Normal visual acuity is required for document preparation and machinery operation.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH:

Must be able to lift and/or move up to 10 pounds regularly, up to 25 pounds frequently, and occasionally up to 100 pounds throughout the day.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Must be able to work long hours in a food processing environment, which may be wet, damp, and cold. Employees are expected to remain in these conditions for the majority of their shifts. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
