Position Summary
Heritage Bank is excited to announce an opportunity to join our team as a Branch Operations Supervisor. This role is pivotal in ensuring the operational efficiency and integrity of the assigned branch, working closely with the Branch Relationship Manager to lead a team towards achieving service excellence, sales targets, profitability, and operational effectiveness in line with Heritage Bank's Mission, Vision, and Values.
- Uphold exceptional customer service standards in the branch, ensuring staff actively refers and promotes bank products and services tailored to customer needs.
- Organize and manage operational workflows to mitigate risks and ensure efficient, effective procedures, staffing, and scheduling.
- Maintain thorough knowledge of products, services, operational policies, and compliance regulations.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of audits, certifications, compliance, and reporting, addressing any issues promptly.
- Lead and train staff to ensure adherence to regulatory compliance standards and internal operational controls.
- Resolve customer inquiries and concerns promptly to maintain optimal branch performance in service quality and efficiency.
- Approve policy exceptions within designated limits and provide exceptional service to contribute to branch sales goals.
- Mentor branch staff to foster growth in customer relationships and develop their skills through coaching, problem-solving, and performance management.
- Collaborate with Management and Human Resources to recommend staffing levels and oversee personnel actions, including hiring and performance reviews.
- Assist in developing quarterly business plans, including sales strategies to maximize profitability, and manage branch income and expense budgets.
- Support the implementation of marketing initiatives for new products and services.
- Represent the Bank in the community through participation in professional organizations and local events.
- Monitor branch supplies, equipment, and security levels to ensure smooth operations.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable banking laws and regulations.
Qualifications:- High School diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or higher preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in retail banking operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role with a proven track record in team leadership within the financial services sector.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build relationships and deliver responsive service.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office applications and familiar with financial services industry systems.
This position may require registration under the National Mortgage Licensing System and Registry (NMLS) as per the SAFE Act of 2008.
Work Environment:- Climate-controlled office setting.
- Role may involve prolonged computer use and requires focus amidst potential distractions.
Physical Requirements:- Ability to operate office equipment and handle cash transactions.
- Capability to stand or sit for extended periods and occasionally lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
