Role Summary:
The Call Center Customer Service Associate will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in Medicaid benefits, eligibility criteria, and claims processing to support Medicaid recipients and healthcare providers effectively.

- Utilize a computerized system to address inquiries from Virginia Medicaid members and providers in a call center setting, adhering to established scripts and protocols.
- Collect information, evaluate caller needs, research inquiries, and document interactions.
- Deliver clear and accurate information regarding eligibility, claim statuses, and provider enrollment.
- Adhere to documented policies and procedures for call handling and escalation.
- Act as an advocate for Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are addressed.
- Verify documents and images as required.
- Complete necessary training assignments.
- Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or Health Insurance is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data entry and database management.
- Prior experience in a call center or professional office setting.
- Knowledge of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is a plus.
- Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish speakers, are preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Access to high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.
