Role Summary:

The Call Center Customer Service Associate will have the opportunity to gain knowledge in Medicaid benefits, eligibility criteria, and claims processing to support Medicaid recipients and healthcare providers effectively.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize a computerized system to address inquiries from Virginia Medicaid members and providers in a call center setting, adhering to established scripts and protocols.
  • Collect information, evaluate caller needs, research inquiries, and document interactions.
  • Deliver clear and accurate information regarding eligibility, claim statuses, and provider enrollment.
  • Adhere to documented policies and procedures for call handling and escalation.
  • Act as an advocate for Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are addressed.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Verify documents and images as required.
  • Complete necessary training assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or Health Insurance is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with data entry and database management.
  • Prior experience in a call center or professional office setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is a plus.
  • Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish speakers, are preferred.
Basic Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Access to high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.
