Position Overview:We are seeking dedicated Customer Support Specialists to assist Medicaid recipients and their service providers.
Compensation:
$16.50/hr for standard roles and $17.50/hr for bilingual candidates, along with comprehensive benefits.
Work Environment:
This role is performed onsite in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Schedule:
Standard hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5 PM EST, with weekends off.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Customer Support Specialist, you will:
1. Utilize a computerized system to address inquiries from Virginia Medicaid members and providers, adhering to established scripts and procedures.
2. Gather necessary information, assess caller needs, and resolve inquiries while documenting all interactions.
3. Provide clear and accurate information regarding eligibility, claims status, and provider enrollment.
4. Follow documented policies and procedures for call handling and escalations, acting as an advocate for both Medicaid recipients and providers.
Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:
- A positive and energetic attitude.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in grammar and spelling.
Preferred Experience:
- Previous experience in Medicaid, Medicare, or health insurance is advantageous.
- Familiarity with data entry and database documentation.
- Experience in a call center or professional office setting.
- Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish speakers, are encouraged to apply.
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
- Access to high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.
