**Position Available: Customer Support Specialist**

**Overview:**

As a Customer Support Specialist, you will gain valuable knowledge about Medicaid benefits, eligibility, and claims processing to aid both Medicaid recipients and healthcare providers.

**Key Responsibilities:**

+ Utilize a computerized system to respond to inquiries from Virginia Medicaid members and providers in a call center setting, adhering to established scripts and procedures.

+ Collect information, evaluate caller needs, investigate and resolve inquiries, and document interactions.

+ Provide clear and accurate information regarding eligibility, claim status, and provider enrollment.

+ Follow documented policies and procedures, including call handling and escalation protocols.

+ Serve as an advocate for Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are addressed.

**Additional Responsibilities:**

+ Verify documents and images as needed.

+ Complete all required training assignments.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Prior experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or Health Insurance is essential.

+ Familiarity with data entry and database management systems.

+ Experience in a call center or professional office environment.

+ Knowledge of Medicaid Management Information Systems (MMIS) is advantageous.

+ Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish speakers, are preferred.

**Requirements:**

+ Must be at least 18 years old.

+ High school diploma or GED is required.

+ Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.

+ Successful completion of a criminal background check and drug screening is required.

+ Access to high-speed internet and a quiet workspace is essential.
