Job Title: Medicaid Eligibility Project Coordinator at Commonwealth of Virginia

The Commonwealth of Virginia is seeking a dedicated Medicaid Eligibility Project Coordinator to enhance their team. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to the agency's Division of Eligibility & Enrollment by ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.

  • Act as the Medicaid Eligibility Project Coordinator and serve as a technical liaison for eligibility matters.
  • Engage with both internal and external partners to facilitate thorough project oversight.
  • Examine Medicaid eligibility and enrollment challenges, delivering summarized data for analytical reporting.
  • Formulate and execute eligibility policies and regulatory frameworks.
  • Organize, plan, and assess eligibility determinations.
  • Represent the Division during enrollment audits and evaluations.
  • Provide eligibility expertise throughout the Agency.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Familiarity with the Virginia Case Management System (VaCMS) and Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS).
  • Experience in assisting and determining eligibility for Medicaid and FAMIS programs.
  • Proficient in utilizing spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation applications.
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations pertaining to assistance programs.
  • Capacity to meet deadlines and collaborate effectively with stakeholders.
