Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing a computerized system to respond to inquiries from Virginia Medicaid members and providers in a call center setting, adhering to established scripts and procedures.
  • Collecting information, assessing caller needs, researching and resolving inquiries, and documenting interactions.
  • Providing clear and accurate information regarding eligibility, claim status, and provider enrollment.
  • Following documented policies and procedures for call handling and escalations.
  • Acting as an advocate for both Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are addressed.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Verifying documents and images as needed.
  • Completing required training assignments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or Health Insurance is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with computer systems for data entry and database management.
  • Previous experience in a call center or professional office environment.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is beneficial.
  • Bilingual candidates, particularly Spanish speakers, are preferred.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Access to high-speed internet and a quiet workspace free from distractions.
