Position Details:

This role is primarily focused on providing support in a call center environment, specifically for Medicaid services. It offers a unique opportunity to gain knowledge about Medicaid benefits, eligibility criteria, and claims processing to effectively assist both recipients and healthcare providers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilizing a computerized system to respond to inquiries from Virginia Medicaid members and providers.
  • Gathering necessary information, assessing caller needs, and documenting interactions.
  • Providing accurate information regarding eligibility, claims status, and provider enrollment.
  • Adhering to established policies and procedures for call handling and escalation.
  • Acting as an advocate for Medicaid recipients and providers to ensure their needs are met.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Verifying documents and images as required.
  • Completing mandatory training sessions.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Medicaid, Medicare, or health insurance is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with data entry and database management.
  • Previous experience in a call center or professional office setting.
  • Knowledge of Medicaid Management Information System (MMIS) is a plus.
  • Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish speakers, are preferred.
Basic Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States is mandatory.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
  • Access to high-speed internet and a quiet workspace.
