This role encompasses the critical functions of human resources within the organization, focusing on the strategic direction and management of HR activities. The Vice President of Talent & Culture will play a pivotal role in fostering an environment that attracts, engages, and retains a diverse and innovative workforce dedicated to the mission and values of the Martha O'Bryan Center.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Talent Acquisition

  • Formulates and implements a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy that aligns with organizational goals.
  • Collaborates with department leaders to create clear job descriptions and performance metrics.
  • Oversees the recruitment process, including job postings, interviews, and candidate selection.
  • Facilitates onboarding processes for new hires, ensuring compliance with all necessary procedures.
  • Enhances orientation programs to support staff integration and development.

Compliance and HR Management

  • Evaluates compensation structures and recommends competitive salary packages.
  • Drafts and disseminates policy guidelines regarding employment practices and benefits.
  • Ensures adherence to labor laws and regulations, maintaining compliance across all HR functions.
  • Provides guidance on personnel matters and participates in employee counseling as necessary.
  • Maintains accurate records and reporting systems to meet organizational and legal requirements.

Leadership and Development

  • Directs the HR team, fostering a collaborative environment that values employee feedback.
  • Leads professional development initiatives, establishing performance management frameworks.
  • Delivers training programs aimed at enhancing staff skills and organizational culture.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
  • A minimum of five years of HR experience, with at least three years in a leadership role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and project management abilities.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
  • Proficient in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
