IS THIS ROLE RIGHT FOR YOU?

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to provide administrative assistance to our lending and training divisions. As the Assistant Vice President of Lending Operations, you will support the Vice President of Lending in various aspects of loan products, including development, compliance, and project management for both mortgage and business lending. You will oversee the operations of Mortgage and Business Lending, guiding staff towards our mission of delivering high-quality service in a welcoming and professional environment.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Supervise managers in Mortgage and Business Lending, ensuring familiarity with current products, procedures, and business development strategies.
  2. Collaborate on projects as assigned by the Vice President of Lending.
  3. Provide administrative and user support for lending software and programs, including Mortgage Bot and ImageFlow.
  4. Assist in the development and marketing of loan products and services.
  5. Ensure compliance with government regulations and updates in loan policies and procedures.
  6. Conduct weekly meetings with lending managers to monitor departmental efficiency and productivity.
  7. Facilitate training sessions with managers on staff development and loan procedures.
  8. Prepare and analyze reports related to Mortgage and Business Lending services, providing regular updates to the Vice President of Lending.
  9. Work with the Internal Audit Manager to verify the quality and legality of loan documentation.
  10. Oversee training and monitoring of lending pipelines and workflows.
  11. Collaborate with the Strategic Initiatives Manager on project implementations and enhancements.
  12. Partner with the Business Lending Manager to execute a business development strategy.
  13. Perform additional duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field from an accredited institution is preferred.


Experience: A minimum of five years in a supervisory lending position is required, with a focus on mortgage lending. Experience in business lending and consumer lending is advantageous. Familiarity with collection processes is also beneficial. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, is essential.


PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role necessitates significant movement within the Credit Union's facilities. Strong visual and auditory skills are essential, along with the ability to conduct property inspections, which may involve navigating stairs and uneven terrain. The position also requires effective communication over the phone and the capacity to operate in a high-stress environment.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

A valid driver's license is necessary, as travel may be required for this position.
