Job Title: Director of Business Development

Are you a seasoned business development professional looking to make a meaningful impact in the social impact space? We're seeking a highly skilled Director of Business Development to join our team at Kuraray America, Inc.

About the Role:

As a Director of Business Development, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our social outcomes exchange platform. You will be responsible for leading the development team in identifying and securing outcome purchase commitments from foundations, corporations, governments, and high net worth individuals.

You will cultivate a robust pipeline of potential buyers, developing relationships and engagement strategies to secure financial commitments. Your expertise in fundraising, securing substantial grants, and cultivating strategic partnerships will be instrumental in driving the growth of our platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's growth objectives and revenue targets.
  • Lead the development team in identifying and securing outcome purchase commitments from foundations, corporations, governments, and high net worth individuals.
  • Cultivate a robust pipeline of potential buyers, developing relationships and engagement strategies to secure financial commitments.
  • Utilize your extensive Rolodex to establish and cultivate partnerships with major corporations and impact investors.
  • Collaborate with the executive team to identify strategic partnership opportunities and negotiate mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Represent OutcomesX at networking events, conferences, and other forums to raise the organization's profile and attract potential buyers.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Business, Nonprofit Management, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in fundraising and development, particularly in securing significant grant funding from major corporations and government sources.
  • Extensive Rolodex of potential buyers, including major corporations and government entities, with a strong network of industry contacts.
  • Previous experience working for large nonprofits and securing substantial grant money from corporate donors and impact investors.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on market penetration and donor engagement.
