Position Overview

ECS Midwest, LLC is excited to present an exceptional opportunity for a skilled and certified Field Operations Supervisor to join our dynamic team. In this position, you will ensure that our technicians receive comprehensive training and effective organization through adept management within the Field Operations department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Management: Supervise the calibration of field instruments, including inventory upkeep and supply organization; Foster a culture of safety; Ensure the appropriate use of personal protective equipment (PPE) on job sites; Assist in mandatory safety training sessions.
  • Effective Communication: Oversee the scheduling operations for field services; Ensure that scheduling requests are fulfilled; Conduct daily reviews of field reports and facilitate senior reviews as needed; Support staff in resolving issues; Regularly assist project managers and department heads; Attend project site meetings to provide technical solutions as required.
  • Training and Development: Guide, mentor, and supervise field services personnel as they advance in their careers; Manage daily operations with a focus on financial performance; Ensure comprehensive training for the field services team and address any training deficiencies; Collaborate with other managers and recruitment teams to maintain adequate staffing levels; Oversee and manage construction materials testing (CMT) projects and prepare proposals; Drive the team towards continuous growth with a strong emphasis on marketing and business development.
Qualifications

Essential Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including hands-on experience in laboratory testing, construction oversight, field quality assurance testing, site grading, and supervising construction materials testing (CMT).
  • Possession of and willingness to maintain essential certifications.
  • Advanced certifications may be necessary depending on the tasks performed.
  • Capability to lift at least 85 pounds.
  • Thorough understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards.
  • Ability to select appropriate testing methods and evaluate test results for compliance with specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of construction materials testing and evaluation techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and reading).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors and foster a cohesive team environment.
  • Familiarity with ECS systems and procedures is advantageous.
