About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Services Manager to join our team at ECS Midwest, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of our Field Services department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety Management
    • Oversee the calibration and maintenance of field equipment, including inventory management and supply organization.
    • Promote a culture of safety and ensure that all team members adhere to safety protocols.
    • Ensure that all project sites have the necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and that team members are trained on its proper use.
  • Communication and Scheduling
    • Manage the scheduling operations for our Field Services team, ensuring that all schedule requests are met and that team members are properly assigned to projects.
    • Review daily field reports and provide senior-level review as requested.
    • Assist team members with resolving issues and provide regular support to project managers and department managers as needed.
  • Training and Development
    • Supervise, lead, and mentor Field Services team members as they grow in their careers.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the group, with a focus on financial performance.
    • Ensure that the Field Services team is properly trained and address any gaps in training as needed.
    • Collaborate with other managers and recruiting to ensure adequate staffing for the team.
    • Manage and oversee Construction Materials Testing (CMT) projects and prepare proposals.
    • Manage the group to promote continued growth, with a strong emphasis on marketing and business development.
    Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • 5+ years of related experience, including practical experience in conducting laboratory testing, construction observation, field quality assurance testing, site grading, and supervising CMT.
    • Must have and be willing to maintain basic certifications.
    • Advanced certifications may be required based on the work performed.
    • Must be able to lift a minimum of 85 pounds.
    • Expert understanding of construction materials testing principles, applications, and ASTM testing standards.
    • Ability to determine appropriate testing methods and evaluate test results in terms of specification compliance.
    • Strong understanding of construction materials testing and evaluation techniques.
    • Strong communication skills (speaking, reading, and writing).
    • Ability to work effectively with peers and supervisors and build a team.
    • Knowledge of ECS systems and procedures is a plus.
