Position Summary

The HRBP team at Verisk is in search of a Senior HR Business Partner to provide support for Corporate Functions. This role is pivotal and requires a proven track record of professional success, expertise, and collaboration. Our HRBP team collaborates with managers, employees, and fellow HR professionals across a multifaceted organization to achieve comprehensive HR initiatives and align with the financial, cultural, and market objectives of the business through its skilled workforce. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about making a significant impact by influencing not only personnel but also the cultural and operational framework in which employees operate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit a commanding presence and credibility to foster trusted relationships.
  • Demonstrate sound judgment regarding business, personnel, strategy, and risk. Employ a consultative approach to align strategic business and HR goals to maximize the organization’s most valuable asset—its employees.
  • Collaborate to achieve business objectives, enhancing productivity and talent development within the organization.
  • Independently devise effective strategies to address major initiatives and secure necessary approvals.
  • Adopt a strategic and systematic approach to work, prioritizing long-term solutions over ad hoc fixes.
  • Engage collaboratively with the HRBP and broader HR teams to ensure high employee engagement and a collegial atmosphere.
  • Offer daily performance management support to line management, including coaching, counseling, and career development.
  • Provide insights on organizational restructuring, workforce planning, and succession strategies.
  • Oversee and resolve intricate employee relations matters, conducting thorough and impartial investigations.
  • Analyze trends and metrics in collaboration with the HR team to inform actions and initiatives.
  • Work with leadership to cultivate a performance-driven, inclusive culture where all employees feel valued and connected.
  • Act as a cultural innovator, leading initiatives to enhance employee engagement.
  • Utilize diagnostic and project management skills to drive change and build trust.
  • Collaborate closely with managers and employees to improve workplace relationships, enhance morale, and boost retention.
  • Exhibit a strong desire to deepen understanding of the business and the strategic role of HR.
Qualifications

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree with relevant industry experience; experience in supporting corporate functions within a global organization is preferred.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in resolving complex employee relations challenges.
  • SHRM or other relevant certifications are advantageous.
  • Strong practical knowledge of talent management areas, including performance management, succession planning, and employee relations.
  • Proficient in operations and metrics.
  • Strategic thinker with a proven ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans.
  • Capable of managing competing priorities and meeting strict deadlines.
  • Strong knowledge of employee relations is essential.
  • Familiarity with immigration issues is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to redesign workflows and leverage technology to enhance productivity.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, adaptable to different audiences.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to prepare executive-level materials, including proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
