Position Summary

Role Overview:

Wonderful Citrus is on the lookout for a Senior Human Resources Generalist to provide support to our New Jersey Operations Division. This dynamic HR role requires an individual who can serve as a reliable advisor to leadership while advocating for our workforce. The successful candidate will collaborate across HR Operations, delivering value-added services to both management and employees. Attention to detail, strong organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities while maintaining confidentiality are essential for success in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with leadership to gain insights into the business and devise strategies that enhance culture, boost performance, and increase employee engagement.
  • Ensure uniform application of programs and policies in conjunction with the California-based HR teams.
  • Guide business leaders in the execution of performance and talent management processes to foster a culture of high performance and continuous development.
  • Assist management in assessing team member performance, offering guidance on coaching, counseling, and professional development.
  • Oversee the resolution of intricate employee relations investigations, advising management on appropriate disciplinary actions to ensure consistency and mitigate legal risks.
  • Stay informed on HR industry trends and new employment legislation, communicating necessary policy and program updates to relevant client groups.
  • Analyze HR data to proactively identify trends and provide actionable recommendations for operational improvements.
  • Direct multiple Temporary Staffing Agency representatives to uphold standards and expectations.
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with hiring managers, vendors, and community organizations to cultivate successful candidate pools.
  • Manage the full lifecycle of recruiting, including presentation, selection, offer, negotiation, and administrative tasks, in alignment with Wonderful Citrus compensation guidelines.
  • Maintain thorough and organized documentation of all recruitment activities to ensure compliance with legal standards.
  • Create an exceptional candidate experience and a seamless onboarding process for new hires.
  • Stay updated on innovative recruiting techniques to remain competitive in the industry.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by seeking ways to enhance workflows and processes.
  • Lead by example in delivering excellent customer service and fostering a positive workplace culture.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field is highly desirable.
  • A minimum of 4 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources or a similar environment.
  • Experience in supporting business operations within manufacturing, warehousing, or food production sectors.
  • Proficiency in workforce planning for a large hourly workforce.
  • Solid understanding of HR practices and procedures.
  • Advanced computer skills, particularly in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook; experience with HRIS is a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a broad business perspective while being hands-on to ensure task completion.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly desired.
  • Commitment to confidentiality and professionalism in daily operations.
  • Aptitude for thriving in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
