Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Contact Center Coordinator to join our team at Family Allergy & Asthma. As a key member of our customer service team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional support to our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Answering Calls: Respond to incoming calls in a timely and professional manner, providing accurate and helpful information to patients and their families.
  • Scheduling Appointments: Schedule appointments for new and existing patients, ensuring that all necessary information is collected and documented.
  • Entering Patient Information: Accurately enter patient demographics, insurance, and referral information into our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Canceling and Rescheduling Appointments: Cancel and reschedule appointments as assigned, ensuring that patients are notified and informed of any changes.
  • Maintaining HIPAA Compliance: Maintain and follow HIPAA policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality and security of patient information.
  • Other Duties: Perform other relevant duties as assigned by the Manager/Director, including working as directed/as needed.
Requirements
  • Effective Communication Skills: Possess effective communication skills, including the ability to fluently speak and read English, read and interpret documents, and communicate effectively with all levels of staff and patients.
  • Education and Experience: High school diploma or GED required; prior medical office experience preferred.
  • Computer Skills: Strong computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical record systems.
  • Teamwork and Adaptability: Ability to work effectively in a team environment, adapt to changing situations, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to provide empathetic and supportive interactions with patients and their families.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to sit for extended periods, use hands to handle objects, and perform other physical demands of the job.

As a Contact Center Coordinator, you will be working in a healthcare setting, interacting with patients, families, and staff members. You will be required to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information with discretion.
