The Patient Services Coordinator acts as the primary point of contact between the healthcare provider and patients. This role involves managing incoming calls, assessing the nature of inquiries, scheduling appointments, directing calls, and documenting messages. The Coordinator is responsible for preparing patient charts, welcoming patients and their families, collecting registration and insurance information, and ensuring that all data is accurately updated in the billing system. Additionally, this position facilitates patient flow within the practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage telephone communications and address patient inquiries effectively.
- Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals and pre-authorizations.
- Assist in charge entry and scheduling of diagnostic tests.
- Utilize age-appropriate communication techniques for patients of all demographics.
Qualifications
No prior experience necessary. Comprehensive training will be provided. We welcome individuals who are enthusiastic about patient care and community service to consider this opportunity.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in administrative support.
- High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
