We are looking for a personable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused Front Desk Agent to provide outstanding service at Trixie Motel. As the initial point of contact for our visitors, the Front Desk Agent is essential in delivering a remarkable guest experience from the moment they arrive. This role involves managing check-ins, check-outs, guest inquiries, handling communications, and offering general assistance and information to our patrons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guest Check-In/Check-Out:
    • Efficiently manage guest arrivals and departures, ensuring adherence to all procedures, including handling reservations, issuing room keys, and informing guests about motel amenities and policies.
    • Accurately process credit card transactions while overseeing the front desk cash register.
  • Customer Service:
    • Deliver exceptional customer service to all visitors, promptly addressing and resolving inquiries and concerns.
    • Provide assistance and insights regarding local attractions, dining options, entertainment, and directions to enhance the guest experience.
  • Communication:
    • Oversee motel communication channels, including responding to phone calls and emails, taking messages, and ensuring that guest requests or inquiries are handled swiftly.
    • Effectively communicate with other staff members to ensure guest needs are met and motel operations run seamlessly.
  • Reservations:
    • Assist with making reservations, modifying existing bookings, and providing information about room availability and pricing.
  • Administrative Duties:
    • Maintain accurate and current records of guest accounts and transactions.
    • Perform daily administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing guest correspondence.
    • Ensure the front desk area is consistently clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality is advantageous.
  • Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role, ideally in a motel or similar setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
  • Proficiency in using motel management software and general computer skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask and perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
