Key ResponsibilitiesGuest Interaction Duties:
- Respond to all inquiries from in-house guests promptly and professionally.
- Handle incoming calls to the establishment and direct them appropriately.
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of the amenities and services available to guests.
- Manage the check-in and check-out processes with accuracy.
- Exhibit proper telephone etiquette at all times.
- Assist the concierge team in providing guests with information about hotel offerings and local attractions.
- Collect and verify necessary registration and payment details, ensuring accuracy in rates and departure dates.
- Maintain an understanding of room availability and status.
- Update room status in coordination with the housekeeping team.
Communication Responsibilities:
- Have a thorough understanding of room configurations, types, and pricing.
- Coordinate with housekeeping to communicate updates regarding room status, including late checkouts and special requests.
- Utilize the hotel’s two-way communication systems with proper etiquette.
- Effectively manage guest concerns and requests related to room accommodations.
- Understand and communicate the hotel’s cancellation and pet policies.
- Be knowledgeable about the no-show policy.
System Management Duties:
- Accurately input guest information into the property management system during check-in.
- Update guest accounts in the system as necessary.
- Ensure proper payment is secured at check-in and for extended stays.
- Verify that rate information in the system aligns with registration details.
- Confirm that departure dates are accurately reflected in the system.
- Post miscellaneous charges to guest accounts as required.
- Process cash transactions according to the established procedures at the end of each shift.
- Conduct cash counts at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Monitor guest accounts for credit limit exceedances and report to management.
- Facilitate guest check-outs and maintain a copy of the account statement for records.
Compensation: The pay rate for this position is $18.00 per hour.
