As the initial point of contact for our visitors, the Guest Services Representative is vital in delivering a remarkable experience from the moment guests arrive. This role encompasses managing check-ins and check-outs, addressing guest inquiries, overseeing communications, and offering comprehensive support and information to our visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Check-In/Check-Out:
- Accurately facilitate guest check-ins and check-outs, ensuring adherence to all procedures, including managing bookings, issuing room keys, and informing guests about motel amenities and policies.
- Process credit card transactions with precision while overseeing the front desk cash drawer.
- Customer Service:
- Deliver outstanding customer service to all visitors, promptly addressing and resolving inquiries and concerns.
- Provide assistance and information regarding local attractions, dining options, entertainment, and directions to enrich the guest experience.
- Communication:
- Oversee motel communication channels, including responding to phone calls and emails, taking messages, and ensuring timely attention to guest requests or inquiries.
- Effectively communicate with other staff members to ensure guest needs are met and motel operations run seamlessly.
- Reservations:
- Support the booking process, modify existing reservations, and provide information about room availability and pricing.
- Administrative Duties:
- Maintain accurate and current records of guest accounts and transactions.
- Perform daily administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing guest correspondence.
- Ensure the front desk area is consistently clean, organized, and well-maintained.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in hospitality is advantageous.
- Prior experience in a customer service or hospitality role, ideally in a motel or similar environment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Proficiency in using motel management software and general computer skills.
- Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to multitask and perform under pressure in a dynamic setting.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
