Office Administrator Job Description

Michelli Weighing & Measurement is seeking a highly motivated and organized Office Administrator to join their team in Harahan, LA.

Job Summary:

The Office Administrator will provide administrative support to the service and sales department, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations. This role requires a self-starter with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting walk-in customers with a warm and positive attitude.
  • Answer telephone calls and direct them to the appropriate department or person.
  • Compose and type routine correspondence, including emails and faxes.
  • Perform general clerical activities, such as data entry and filing.
  • Place orders with vendors and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist the service or sales manager with scheduling and other administrative tasks.
  • Ship and receive equipment, ensuring timely and efficient processing.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • One (1) year or more of vocational technical training or equivalent a plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Self-starter with a strong work ethic.
