Job Overview and Responsibilities

Under the guidance of the Office Services Supervisor II, the chosen applicant will engage in sensitive tasks and will be accountable for the following:

- Execute all responsibilities related to Area enforcement documentation, which entails daily verification of data for precision and processing of CHP 215 (Notice to Appear), citations for court submission.
- Input all CHP 215 data into the SACS Web database consistently.
- Organize citations in Area files and uphold them according to the departmental retention policy continuously.
- Manage CHP 411's (Notice to Correct and Proof of Service).
- Process CHP 239 (Notice to Defendant), Owner Responsibility form, and CHP 281 (Notice to Correct).
- Maintain an Excel log for CHP 215A.
- Ensure a sufficient stock of CHP 215's is ordered and stored appropriately in the designated locker.
- Utilize a personal computer to draft, distribute, and archive Parental Notification and Juvenile correspondence.
- Respond to incoming phone inquiries and assist the public effectively.
- Direct calls to the appropriate personnel and take messages when necessary.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to the public.
- Serve as a backup to the Area Vehicle Storage Clerk (CHP 180 Clerk).
- Assist the Area Vehicle Storage Clerk (CHP 180 Clerk) as required in the entry and processing of Vehicle Storage documentation.
- Answer phone calls from the public.
- Support other clerical staff as needed and undertake additional tasks as assigned.

Special Qualifications

The role necessitates the capability to type at a minimum speed as specified in the Class Specifications (link available in the additional documentation section). A valid typing certificate confirming your ability to meet the minimum typing speed must be obtained prior to employment. Additional information regarding acceptable typing assessments is available on the website. The role requires a Background Investigation to be successfully completed before employment.
